#1 Credit Union in Idaho - Literally

I waited to do this post until this past week because some awesome things have happened at work. First off, I have been working for Idaho Central Credit Union for two years and five months now. After much effort and patience I finally got a promotion!! This past year has somewhat been a struggle for me in the branch due to other team members but moreso the fact that I just felt stuck and a little over qualified for my teller position. Job opportunities come and go so often but I was just waiting for the right position to come along. I love being in the branch and having the interaction with the members but the turnover rate (especially in our branch) for FSO positions or anything higher then a teller doesn't happen often so I didn't really have a choice. Idaho Central has just opened a new department in their administration office called the Online Service Center. Pretty self explanatory. They deal with any online loan applications, update Facebook and Twitter and deal with all the service people need online. You can now open checking, savings, or any account online now. It's pretty awesome! My new position will be an Online Loan Officer. I will be contracting loans that are done through the internet. Some people in the branch may think it will take away from the branches, however, it actually saves the branch time for the fact that when an online app comes in the branch used to just do all the finish work. I think it actually took time away from other people who choose to come into the branch to apply for loans and go through the whole process there. Things are just changing just like new ATMs are so nice that people would rather use them than come into the branch. Right now there are just two guys in the department and they are busy as can be so I can't wait to get over there and stay busy. I think my days will go a lot faster that way. I heard they are tons of fun to work with and the whole floor I am on is a lot of fun. I start November 28 and can't wait to start new and work with men. There have been many things happen lately that have just made me that much more excited to start at the admin building. I will definately miss all my members and the great relationships I have made with them but I think it will be an awesome experience and opens so many more opportunities for growth within the credit union. This is such a great job. It definately is a great career job that I could see myself having for a very long time. I'm excited to show what I have to offer.

I have wanted to blog about my promotion but the reason why I waited was because the Credit Union gave away a 2011 Ford Fiesta last week. One member won in Boise on Tuesday and then on Wednesday they have the party at the administration building to give away the second car. The Chubbuck branch had about 7 finalists out of 52. That doesn't seem like a lot but it really is and guess what? One of our members WON!!! That's right Keith Davies won the Ford Fiesta! It was so awesome to be there cheering for our members and seeing how excited people were. I had to laugh though cause I went up to Keith and his wife before the drew for the car and I asked Keith if he woke up this morning feeling like a winner and he played it off so calmly and just said how they never win things so they didn't think much of it. What they did was narrowed the 52 finalists down to 30. Keith was the 30th person called. Then they narrowed it down to 10. I can't remember if Keith was last that time too. But then they narrowed it down to 5. Keith was the 5th person called. We had to laugh cause all the time he didn't think he would win and sure enough Kent Oram called the winner of the car and Keith's name was called. It was so awesome to see how excited he and his wife were. I am glad they one for the fact that his wife loves lime green and loves the car. I swear anytime anyone came to put their name in for the drawing they would say how much they hated the color and thought it was just so ugly. Well sorry but I don't want you to win a FREE car if all your going to do is complain about it. Thursday morning Keith and his wife came into the branch and she was wearing a lime green shirt and socks and they just had a permagrin. I got our board out that morning and put, "Congrats Keith for winning the Ford Fiesta," and his wife was just taking pictures and loving life. The car had decals all over it saying "Win this car" and "ICCU 100,000 members". They said they were going to drive around with all of it on for a while to show it off. It was just so cool that they were so awesome about it and love the color and things about it. We had to brag that he was our very own Chubbuck member.

What an awesome experience! Things like that make me so proud to work for such a company that does things like that. Last year for Christmas every employee got iPads. This year for Christmas, everyone gets digital cameras. They are truly a great company. Yes, we get spoiled but its more than that as well. I really can't complain even though I do sometimes. I'm so grateful I even have a job that I can go to everyday that pays the bills and has great hours. Can't wait to continue to succeed with Idaho Central!

Here are some fun pictures from Wednesday night. They pictures aren't very good cause everyone was so excited no one could sit still. There is also a video that is hard to see cause it is far away but it is still fun.

Welcome to Reality

We have had some changes over the past month that have taken a toll on our family. My brother-in-law Wade took a transfer for his job to Kennewick, Washington. So about a month ago, me, Shilo, Tara, and my mom and dad helped move Sammi and Wade and their family to Kennewick. It was very hard on us, especially my parents. My dad in particular. Let's just say there were a lot of tears as we were leaving Washington. When you grow up within a 20 mile radius of your family it is definitely hard to have them move far away. Especially when you only have three nieces and they leave too.

We met in Pocatello about 6:00 in the morning on a Friday and that is where Jordan said his goodbyes.
Taylee is always shy to Jordan,
yet she always asks where he
is whenever I talk to her. Messed

Mylee was hiding as well.
By this time Sammi was
crying again.

KJ was riding in Shilo's truck
and was already busy watching
a movie.

It rained a lot of the way to Kennewick and made plenty of stops. We stopped in Mountain Home for a pit stop and realized one of the trailer tires on Shilo's trailer was going flat.

So, we had to go get a brand new tire put on because it was not
able to be saved.

Driving through the Blues and the canyon was very pretty. With the rain and a few low clouds it made for a sweet picture.

I have an app on my iPhone called Hipstamatic. It takes
awesome pictures!

About 10 hours later, we made it safely and started unpacking as quick as possible before it got too dark. Sammi and Wade are starting out in an apartment and they are on the third level. So it was super fun going up and down three flights of stairs with no extra help.

The girls at their apartment complex. It's a cute place. The
clubhouse has a workout facility, pool, hot tub, and unlimited
tanning.
These little twinners were hyper and giggly.
I love listening to them giggle though.

We went down on the shore of the Columbia River and played around a little bit. Pretty cool to be close by the river. It's huge.

Miss them so much already
I love when Sammi sends me videos of the girls. I took this video while we were in Washington. Whenever you asked Taylee what her name is she says John... They are the cutest things I miss them more and more everyday.

Sammi sent me this video not too long ago and she said that Taylee was following in my footsteps. I have a weird ability to snort really loud. When I sent Taylee a text back of me snorting Sammi text me back laughing and saying how Taylee kept snorting back like we were have a snort conversation. Too funny.

The Love of A Family is Life's Greatest Blessings

We were able to get some family pictures taken on the Gardner side before Sammi and her family moved to Washington. The last time we took family pictures is when Kenadee was the only child of Sammi and Wade. We definitely needed an update to involve Mylee, Taylee, and Jordan. It is so crazy how quick life changes... Now it's time for something else to happen. Isn't that how it works? You get family pictures taken and right after they are up on the wall someone gets pregnant or engaged? Sammi, I think those pictures were another sign that the little boy is waiting on the other side... I want to go ahead and share our family pictures.
I have the cutest nieces in the world

And then there's.... Mylee's face

The best parents in the world
Best one of all... Shilo's bowel movement. Haha

Gotta love your family. Don't know what I would do without them.

Freedom Is Nothing Else But A Chance To Be Better

"Freedom is nothing else but a chance to be better" - Albert Camus

There is just something about the fireworks on the 4th of July that really has a tender place in my heart. Whenever I sit and watch the fireworks I love to listen to the radio and all of the patriot music they play. When I listen to the music I don't necessarily think of freedom I think of gratitude. For the fireworks, Jordan and I had a BBQ at our house with his family and my mom, dad, brother, and cousin came up as well. It was so nice being surrounded by family and the ones I love. That night while I was watching the fireworks I really thought about how blessed I am. I have been blessed with the most amazing parents in the world and a brother and sister who would do anything for me. They have supported me through and through and will always continue to do as they have. I have also been blessed to marry such an amazing person. Jordan knew how to really turn my world around when I really wanted to just get out of town. He has also been such an amazing supporter to me. When I am hating work, which is about everyday, he always tells me how proud he is of me and to just keep working harder because people notice. He is always boosting my self-esteem and telling me how beautiful I am and how much he loves me. With Jordan being such a blessing I have also become part of his family and what a wonderful blessing they are to me. They have been my home away from home and cared for me as if I were their child even when Jordan and I weren't dating or should I say "official".

When the song, "Proud to Be an American" came on I couldn't help but think of my cousin Austin. That song was his absolute favorite besides "Smack That" by Akon. haha. Though he died at such a young age it also made me think about taking life and love for granted. It is unreal at how many people are dying at such a young age. Apparently, we are the choice generation and Heavenly Father needs us with him. Jordan and I were talking about it the other night and I can not believe how many times we kept telling each other how much we love each other after that night. We can not take things for granted and need to just be grateful for what we have and realize that there are plenty and I mean plenty of people who do not have things that we have. Go back to the top and read my quote again..... Freedom really is about being better. Think about that. What could you be better about? Family prayer? More affection to your spouse? Or more to any family member for that matter. Love who you love with all that you have. Life is over in a blink of an eye.

Getting Away With Murder

Yesterday, the jury reached a verdict that they may never or always regret for the rest of their lives. Unfortunately, it is true that there really was no sufficient evidence linking Casey to be the killer of her 2-year-old daughter Caylee. HOWEVER, the majority of the population knows with out a doubt that she killed Caylee whether it was premeditated or not. More than likely Casey will walk free Thursday after her sentencing but her life is still over. She will have a hard time getting a job and no matter what the jury's verdict was she will hear what people think from every angle.

I believe this is what happened... Casey wanted to have some fun but is so prideful she did not want Caylee to be in the care of her parents. Casey chloroformed Caylee and put her in the trunk so she could have a good time for the night. When she went back to the trunk to get Caylee she was dead. Casey panicked and did not want to tell her parents or the police what she had done so she drove the car to her parent's while they were at work, borrowed a shovel from the neighbor to bury her in the backyard like her dogs had been buried. When that plan failed she got nervous and threw her in the woods just near her home.

She is a liar and will always be a liar. She will be set free, be taken to a secure location, change her name, die her hair and do whatever it takes to live a normal life. She wrote letters in jail saying how she plans on having more children or adopting. Poor kids that have to go through hell for the rest of their lives. It's sad that the jury knew without a doubt that Casey is guilty but had to go with the evidence shown to them which was not good enough. Jurors were sick to their stomach and crying when they made their decision. Does that not tell you that she is guilty? How could anyone get away will murdering their 2-year-old innocent daughter? The parent's will never be the same because Casey ruined their marriage, family relationship and any reputation they ever had. I hope someday they can be somewhat normal again which I don't think they ever were but they don't deserve to go through hell for the rest of their lives.

Justice was not done for Caylee and her killer will now live her "Beautiful Life" (Bella Vita). Casey will be punished when it matters most and it will be by the higher power which will be even better than anything here on earth. Just wait until that day comes and then we will have justice for Caylee. HE knows what really happened and who is at fault.

-Established March 21, 2011-

Two and a half months ago Jordan and I were married in the Salt Lake Temple. It was such a special day for us and we were able to share it with our dearest family and friends. The weather was not the best so we were able to go back to Salt Lake to finish getting our pictures taken at the end of April. It was a perfect day and I am so grateful that Micha was so willing to go back. She did such and amazing job and we couldn't be any happier. Thanks Micha!!

It's been great so far. Jordan and I have been working hard to get the yard done to make the house complete. The curbing was completed a little over a month ago and Jordan, family, friends and neighbors were able to lay the sod on Memorial weekend. Thank you to all those who helped. Just this last Saturday, Jordan got a few things planted inside the curbing and it looks great! Thanks babe! It's funny what things excite us now. We were so excited when we bought our lawn mower and I'm pretty excited to start mowing our lawn. Weird, I know.

Kenadee, my niece, and Traeton, Jord's nephew, got baptized on June 4th. What awesome experiences for both of them. It is so crazy that Kendaee is already eight-years-old. I remember being in high school and Kenadee being a baby. I am so happy for the decisions she has made and hope she can continue to be a good example for her sisters.

We also got our wedding pictures back so I will share a few with you.
